“Through gardening, we bridge the gap between the dreams in our head and the ground under our feet…”

Find your vision…

Do you want to feed your family with home-grown fruits and vegetables? Create a tranquil garden to calm frayed nerves? Build an inviting outdoor space for entertaining? Start a backyard chicken flock? Perhaps you want to bring the outdoors into your dwelling through textiles, colors and indoor plants. The Garden Doula can help!

  • Whether a woodland playground for kids or a gracious outdoor entertaining space to foster community with friends and neighbors, let’s explore the ways that gardens and gardening can bring joy to your life… in addition to the delights to the physical senses of blooms and boughs in a well-curated outdoor space.

  • The satisfaction of growing and eating your own fruits and vegetables, or savoring the fresh eggs from your backyard flock, goes beyond the nutritional benefits to the body. Your connection to place, and to your family, is nourished as well. Children who can forage in their own backyards from berry bushes, vegetable gardens and fruit trees have a deeper appreciation for food, waste less and are more resilient. Your garden can be a place to strengthen the bonds of your family.

  • We all carry a burden of some sort, whether it’s the stress of day-to-day life in a post-pandemic world; grief from the loss of a parent, child or partner; struggles with fertility; or the lingering footprint of childhood trauma.

As we tend our plants, or simply dwell in the protected space of the garden, we give our thoughts a chance to settle. As we begin to cultivate a deeper attachment to place, we create even more opportunities to find ease and contentment.

“A garden is always the expression of someone’s mind and the outcome of someone’s care.”

“Wonders of nature may be revealed to us if we do not overlook them.”
